Ok...Hi, this is me *the naked boy*. I was just 2,3 mins old when this picture is taken. The cool photographer is my daddy. Did i look like "OMG why am i naked" with my hand on my head *scratch scratch* and my mouth so big "OMG OMG OMG" (154 bpm Audition-Omg)?
I was born in this labour room in the 7th day Adventist Hospital. I let my mummy suffered more than 16 hours of 45seconds pain each with 5 mins interval. My mummy is strong because she delivered me in less than 30 mins of push. I arrived and warmly cuddled by my mummy and daddy. "Hey my daddy looks like me"
Mummy and I stayed two days in the hospital and we checked out on Sept 3rd but we re-admit to the hospital on the 5Th because of my jaundice. It hit 218 which over the cut off point of that hospital so i'm back to the hospital. This time I have to be naked and sleep under the blue lights. The lights help to kill the dead red blood cells that stuck on my skin and prevent me from getting brain damage.
Jaundice -
http://www.babycenter.com/0_jaundice_89.bc (read here for more information about jaundice). I'm glad that my parents send me to the hospital rather than using the old traditional way of cleaning me with yellowish (crysanthemum seed/ginger) water which did no help but worsen the jaundice. There's one tradition way that works which is stay under the morning sun for 5 mins to 10 mins each morning. It is actually to help us-babies to get more vitamin D to help our liver to process the dead blood cell. Don't take risk if your baby's jaundice is more than 200 points cause it is very dangerous.
I would like to thanks the Adventist-Maternity ward and Nursery nurses for their hospitality during my stay there. Oh, not to forget Dr Ng Kwee Teik (my mummy gynaelogist) and Dr. Mary Tan (my Paedetrician) for their care to make sure my mummy and I are healthy.
